Collection: Feral & Bloom

Feral & Bloom is part of a series of collaborations with Trans artists who have something to say.

Bre Legan (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist, poet, and perpetual wanderer, born on a Midwestern farm their family has worked for seven generations. They've lived in Seattle, in Italy, across the country and beyond, and are currently nomadic, which is exactly how they like it.

Their illustration work draws from traditional tattoo aesthetics: bold lines, flat color, botanicals with teeth. They write about movement, transformation, and plants. They type poems on a typewriter in public. They believe softness is a superpower we all can possess.

This collection was made in response to the world as it is and the belief that beauty and ferocity can live in the same image.

Find Bre's illustration and design work at @bdl.art.design on Instagram and brelegan.com.

Read their writing on movement and transformation at The Becoming Rambles on Substack.

If you're in Milwaukee, look down—their poems are spray-painted on sidewalks at spraypaintpoems.com.
